modern quilter

My first quilt had a rose calico border that framed sun, moon, and star batik blocks that I created at a childhood friend’s home. I brought the blocks to my grandmother and asked if we could make them into a quilt. It was hand-tied, filled with a polyester batting and I was proud.

Fifteen years or so later, I discovered modern quilting in my local bookstore and have never stopped exploring the craft.
